Kyri Harris
Like you, accomplished leadership consultant and mental health therapist, Kyri Harris, is successfully navigating the uncertainties of life. Kyri consistently establishes a supportive, dedicated, and goal-oriented environment through which her clients thrive.
Kyri’s leadership skills were cultivated through professional and consulting experiences with some of the nation’s largest financial institutions and leading educational companies. She has enhanced her leadership skills through service on the Ben Hill UMC Christian Academy Advisory Board and as co-chairperson of the Leadership Committee for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Her dynamic presentation skills have been showcased at NC, SC, GA, AL, TN, and FL state educational conferences. She has co-facilitated sessions at marriage retreats and parenting workshops as well as designed and facilitated numerous leadership meetings.
She specializes in treating couples to enhance communication and intimacy, as well as to negotiate the complexities of separation and divorce. Kyri has additional training and experience in treating individuals who have suffered trauma, grief, and loss. Her educational career has been instrumental in successfully implementing Play Therapy with adolescent and adult clients. She consistently strives to utilize appropriate theoretical concepts and strategies when working with all clients. She implements Christian principles when appropriate.
Kyri established a great academic foundation to compliment the experiential knowledge she continues to garner. She obtained her BS in Accounting from Hampton University. She holds a Master’s in Teaching from Emory University and a Masters in Community Mental Health from Mercer University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, a National Certified Counselor, NCC, and a Professional School Counselor. She is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia, American Counseling Association, Georgia School Counselor Association, and the American School Counselor Association. She is active in her church as well as in community service organizations.
Kyri is committed to promoting healthy individuals—children and adults, as well as marriages, and families. She believes obtaining and maintaining a healthy balance between your mind, body, and spirit will yield a truly fulfilled life. Kyri strives to maintain a proper balance in her own life by enjoying life with her husband, of 19 years, and two children.
